had a Pig of a 24hr cycle from the 13th until dawn on the 14th... it just so happens I received a New Laptop on the same day my old system went WONKY like a dying Donkey (Poor donkey..)
all because I let my 'mainframe get an update' well after the update I could no longer log into my Windows, at all, ever however many attempts, I got a vague message about how 'it could not load a certain component...
But Luckily I am a previous victim of a dead PC n HD, So I always do a regular CLONE process, with good old HDClone a German software available for free under LIMITATIONS, like an 18 hour Transfer time!!!...
So I went online and Bought a Personal copy for £18.00 with one Machine licence to clone a Previously Duplicated 500gb HD, from an older Copy, Luckily, only last week I did a new Copy, sometimes I wait months, but this wasn't so bad after all, EXCEPT my SSD (solid state Drive DIED Totally during the whole copy/restore process) i.e. the one I was Using...
so My Back up copy was from a spinning HD not a stationary one, But then I find out after removing the SSD from my main server/PC, I see in small print "HYBRID SSD" so I bought it thinking it was all SOLID, turns out as a Hybrid it has an 8gb Nand flash Cache, DUH told you I was Gullible...
But the whole point of this blog is about Microsoft Updates corrupting my Boot up, it would not let me back in so maybe I overreacted, but after the tenth attempt, I ripped out the So-called SSD, and replaced it with a CLONED HD, I actually had x2 back up 500gb Clones but the other is many months older than that recent copy... they are regular 'Spinning' HD's, which dont last as long... Ahem
So now I ordered x2 PROPER SSD HD's @ 500gb, so in theory I can never be deprived of my precious files and thoughts, like in 1997 when I first found out what having a back up was about, I lost many hundreds of 'Outpourings' long before I started Blogging here or anywhere... that broke my hope and trust in Computers, Now I know x10 better...
I even have backup Laptops x7 the most recent being a Toshiba ULTRABOOK I got for almost nothing considering it was £999.99 new 6 years ago... I bought another one just tonight having found out how fast slick and easy is to use, So at least I won't be deprived of eBay when I need it in the middle of the night... with multiple BU HD's and Laptops, I will not be without a liferaft to cling to...
sometimes it is like you/one invites turbulence and dysfunction into life by some kind of indefinable conflict, 'stuff goes wrong' hardware fails ones most personal Translation device (ones own PC) but keeping cool always paves the way to a trajectory of equanimity... and keeps your cool cold... from PANIC and blind Despair...
Think ahead, or be Dead.
n dont get ahead of yourself either...
think Back up before you get totally fucked up
