so eventually at 3:20 the Man Came, it arrived I was Dazzled, and also confused, It came I saw and was conquered, so pretty so solid everything was just like the picture,
I was gobsmacked as we say on airstrip 1, by this time I was exhausted, so it was all a bit of a Blur, I sat in it like a retarded kiddie, It smelt great, seats were pristine Black Leather, it was definitely a "thing of Beauty"
now the anti-climax was approaching, with disdain and a petulant displeasure, It was hard getting my fat ass in it, it took ages to get the seat and steering wheel comfy, I got Boo in the back and we were off...
Then a cold dip in disappointment, as I went up a hill I gave it some Gas, and instantly Knew, "it needs a new clutch" Oh the price of Happiness at the expense of so much cold reality, So to summarise, I am Numb and blank now the excitement has inverted into a focused will to get this problem fixed, I have been on the Phone all morning getting Quotes, the Highest was £2,344.00 the Lowest was £1287.00, but it means I will have to Drive 32 miles
Hey, it's not the end of the World, but if Trump keeps blowing off it could be, I still got my old Car, which I love dearly, so I am not housebound,
in a paradoxical way it has become a great stimulus to counteract my natural melancholic Depression, I have something to Fight for and to MEND, it looks so beautiful just sitting there, today I did some light dusting of the interior, and sat there trying to work out the "entertainment and Navigation console" it reads USB sticks too, don't they all? but going through directories on SD cards is a bit tricky, I pumped up the tyres, looked under the Bonnet/Hood, the Engine looks very clean with no tell-tale leaks anywhere,
the reason the Clutch went I can Guess at, it was used to Deliver "product" to people all over the country, and some Lazy person "Rode the Clutch" which is what fools do when waiting on a hill, instead of using the handbrake, they Ride on the clutch using the engine as a brake, Very poor practice and not to be emulated, now I pay the price for their Negligence, Ho Hum, at least I don't live in Afganistan lol...
Count your blessings and educational disappointments, Peace out, gonna wash the car now...
